The Optimize, Inc. team are seasoned project managers who have worked in many business sectors. Many of our clients utilize optimize to augment their internal industrial engineering teams. We work as an extension of their engineering departments in two ways. First we take on projects when the project workload is greater than the company can handle with their current resources. Second we train and mentor other industrial engineers on how to successfully drive projects to completion on time and on budget.
We utilize many tried and true project management and communication tools and show others how to effectively utilize them as well. We demonstrate that projects are not the sum of tasks that need to be completed in sequence to finish. Projects start with goals including a business reason with a minimum ROI to be successful. Each task added to the plan must support those business reasons and contribute to acheiving the ROI. We live by the mantra, plan your work, work your plan. We measure and report progress with a communication style that keeps all stakeholder expectations aligned. The project metrics we collect and report drive behaviors necessary to meet a successful conclusion to the projects.
Collaboration with all stakeholders is key to our success. In many instances we have located suppliers/collaborators local to our clients to foster relationships that last long after the project is complete. Many of those suppliers have capabilities unique to the needs of the project or client. Having those capabilities so close to home alows for acheiving many of the Lean principles and keeping material cost low.
